A year ago we were enjoying the most incredible vacation hiking America’s national parks and then a month later my husband was given 6 months to live. We have been on a roller coaster of a journey. After many false starts, my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He has endured 6 months of chemo and as time went by we realized how his mind was far more muddled and confused so we both realized how important it was to keep a journal. to write down our worries, feelings and then to always finish with the things that made us smile (those moments where cancer was forgotten even if only for a few minutes). Writing in a journal is not only cathartic but it has been extremely useful. logging new symptoms and side effects, checking facts and preparing for future medical appointments. We truly believe that we are looking at a wonderful future. My wish is that you find the journal a helpful way to put your journey into words. To think about your worries, needs and your dreams. To get through each day and find the strength to face the next. You are stronger than you know.
